Bear Much Fruit

Transport is the movement of things from one place to the other.  For example, we transport ourselves daily from home to work and then back again.

Plants also have a similar transport system they call the phloem. The phloem is a “straw like” tube inside the plant’s stem.  It’s primary purpose is to transport food made in the leaves to all other parts of the plant. Without the phloem, plants cannot receive the proper nutrients to survive. Without the proper nutrients, the plant will not be able to bear much fruit, if at all.

Now appease me here for a quick second and visualize that you are a plant.

And for you to bear much fruit, you will need God (your phloem and transport system) to provide all your needs.

When you allow God to guide your life, he promises to give you much love and joy, peace that surpasses understanding, kindness and goodness in your heart and soul, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

All that he asks of us is to let go and trust Him fully.

Consequently, like the plant you will blossom, grow, and bear much fruit!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

Galatians 5:22-23

  1. Absolutely beautiful. I loved this analogy of the plant’s phloem to our spine (the route to the Divine in meditation). Everything in God’s world depends on Him, it’s amazing. I try every day to surrender completely. I keep trying!! It’s so difficult for a control-freak, type-A personality like me, but I pray every day to hand over my impatience and ego to Him as He alone knows what is best for me and what the right time is for me to experience things. LOVE your blog, so uplifting and inspirational!!
